Richard founded Stone Works (South East) Ltd in 2007 after 25 years of working as one of the leading stone restoration masons in the South East.
Richard has been the recipient of an English Heritage award for restoration works undertaken at Kensington Palace Gardens.
Having worked on prestigious heritage landmarks such as the Royal Courts of Justice, Duke of Wellington’s House (Park Lane), Royal Academy of Arts, Houses of Parliament, Nelsons Column, Marlborough Hill House, Brighton Pavilion, Brighton Station and the Royal Albert Hall.
Richards says, "The process of restoration gives me such a feeling of satisfaction. To work with natural materials, fantastic buildings and to restore elements of these back to their original glory is something I feel privileged to undertake whether it be domestic, historic or church buildings".
